The Great Impossibility (2019)
Part of In Absentia exhibition.

"Wherever there is hardship, there are those speaking up about hardship. These are the people who travel to remote towns to conduct research, who leave their homes to shout about the troubles their people face, who sacrifice everything to tell the story their lives depend on telling. They use the technology of the day to bear witness: pens, paper, charts, cameras, photographs. They gather data, document conditions, and collect evidence. The promise of data is the promise of sharing truth about people and the world, and so they fight for it.

How many of these truth-tellers end up thwarted? How many find their work halted not by a lack of data, but by an unwillingness to hear? How many face the Great Impossibility?"
